Montage hotel racist manager12/10/2023 You went into the lobby anyway and refused to step outside. The front desk clerk also asked you to wait outside due to the regulations. Due to COVID19 regulations, we can have only one guest at a time in the lobby. Since there was already another guest checking in at the front desk, you were asked to wait outside until he was finished. You demanded to speak with the manager and after she stated that she was the manager, you went around to the front steps and tried to enter the lobby. This confused the manager as she is also a black woman. At that point, you began to argue, stating that you were being discriminated against for your race. The manager asked that you wait until he arrived (since you stated that ‘they are on their way’) and after they had checked in, all would be allowed to go to their respective units. You walked up and stated that your brother-in-law was coming and that ‘some of the kids were his’. She informed him that the studio unit that was rented was for a maximum of 3 occupants. She stopped your husband before entering the security gate as you did not use the main entrance. After your husband checked in, our manager was getting ready to leave and noticed that there were more individuals in your party. The timeline given does not actually reflect what occurred, however. We wish to acknowledge your recent review. The worse of it all is that my husband stayed there the week prior with our kids and they liked it so much ,which was the reason we returned. We had to search and find a hotel room at that moment with 4 kids because of the poor service we received. The manager then said, she did not want "my type" there and said she will not provide us with another room and told my husband to return the hotel key. I offered and explained the distance we drove and how late it was alreafy, that I would happily rent another room and divide our family just so it will meet the 4 maximum occupancy. She said that we had to many in our party and could not aloow us to stay. Once my husband entered with me, the manager said we have too many in our party. My husband checked in a was treated politely and given the room key. I am of black decent and my husband is white American. The manager/supervisor was a complete racist. My family and I were denied accommodations after driving 2 hours to our reserved family weekend at this hotel.
